22 Female Kottayam

Though I'm a little late to post this.. here is my next release - 22 Female Kottayam. Coincidentally, I happened to give my voice for all the three songs in the movie. Chillane is the title track by Avial, sung by me and Tony. Melle Kollum is the romantic song by Rex Vijayan, sung by Job Kurian and me. The third one is by Bijibal called 'neeyo' which was meant for promotional purposes.

Music and male vocals: Jayahari P.S.

In conversation with Susheela Raman

Yes, I am indeed super honoured to be doing an interview with this amazing woman! Susheela Raman is indeed a soft breeze who can contradict her empowering vocal tone with her extremely calm , composed posture. Her music speaks for herself and she is incomplete without her husband, Sam Mills, who is also her music producer and a guitarist. Watch her singing Muthukumaranadi amma live, and you'll be spiritually driven from deep inside. I got to do a little musical chat with her while she was in Trivandrum to perform for the Kovalam Literary Festival. This also happens to be my finale piece with Rosebowl channel.

Premikyumbol - Salt N' Pepper

After a break I am finally allowed to share my latest release with you all .. a beautiful retro duet from Salt N' Pepper directed by Aashiq Abu and music by Bijibal sir. Avial has also done their first OST, Aanakallan, for the Cinema Industry.

This is a duet with P. Jayachandran sir and here goes the video :)

PART 1

PART 2

Outcast Vocals

I had thought of jamming some random/popular/rare songs with a bunch of young creative musicians for Rosebowl channel!! I hooked in Suchith and Sidharth who are from the popular band 'Udaan' and an excellent Jazz pianist, Vineet. Bass guitarist of 'Avial', Benny accompanied the team on his guitar and he really must have hated us!!... cos we sort of kept him up all night during the final practice session :) Nevertheless, things went awesome and it took me a while to get the videos and upload them... *TAN TA DAAAAAAN*

Also coming up with name for the show was a huge fun process. We initially came up with Coconut Machans, tuner wardrobe, kappa 'n meen curry, etc.. but finally after the shoot was done, we realized that it didn't turn out to be that funky and was more of classy and suttle numbers, hence the name, 'Outcast Vocals'

This track is Parayan maranna paribhavangal by Pt. Ramesh Narayan and lyrics by Rafeeq sir. Vineet George Panikker has done the backing of this unplugged version.

This one is a very popular ghazal of Hariharanji , Jhoom Le. Backed by Vineet and Benny chettan.

This one is a collage of my two very favourite songs: Ishq ada hai and Thamara noolinal. It was just an attempt !!

Piano sessions with Stephen for Rosebowl

Piano sessions with Stephen was awesome ... my very first and one of the most memorable I must say. I sang a string of good 'ol numbers... this one is Baiyan na dharo... check this out

A Bhupinder Singh number ... Boliyen surili boliyan ...

Susheela amma special... unnai kanaatha

Sangeetha Samagamam

Nine at Night: In conversation with Vijay Yesudas

I guess his first unplugged interview :D

In conversation with U. Rajesh

The man is so simple! There was this part where he was speaking about playing Jazz on the mandolin and I asked him to play. He was hesitant cos he said he couldn't do it without backing but on my request he actually played a little bit of jazz..

Nine at Night : In conversation with Gopi Sundar

The ambience was very chilled and cool.. and though his room was small.. it had some of the best equipments... for all those who missed this interview... Catch it out here !!
